Attendance Policy
Minimum Attendance Requirement: Students must maintain a minimum of 85% attendance to qualify for the final examination and promotion to the next class.
Leave Condonation: The Principal may condone up to 15% of attendance deficiency on medical grounds, subject to submission of valid supporting documents.
Leave Procedure
- Absences require a leave note in the diary, signed by the parent/guardian.
- Only authorized parents/guardians with specimen signatures in the diary may write remarks or sign.
- Students in Classes IX-XII must obtain prior permission from the Principal for leaves.
Classroom Attendance
- Students may not leave the classroom without the teacher’s permission.
- Early dismissals require prior written permission.
Unauthorized Absence
Students absent without permission for over 15 consecutive working days will be removed from the school rolls.
Attendance Expectations
No absence is allowed on the closing day, reopening day, or during school functions without prior notice and substantial reasons.
Illness and Medical Leave
Parents/guardians must provide a letter for absences due to illness, with a medical certificate for absences exceeding three days.
Emergency Procedures
Early pickups require a written request. Students will not be sent home with unauthorized individuals.
Health and Safety
Do not send children to school with communicable diseases. Follow these quarantine periods for common illnesses:
- Chickenpox: Until scabs fall off.
- Cholera: Until fully recovered.
- Measles: Two weeks after rash disappears.
- Mumps: Until swelling subsides (approximately one month).
- Whooping Cough: Six weeks.
- Jaundice: Six weeks after recovery.
Non-Payment of Fees
Failure to pay tuition fees by the due date may lead to removal from the school rolls, treated as unauthorized absence.
Parental Responsibility
Parents/Guardians are responsible for ensuring their child’s regular attendance, informing the school of any absences, and providing supporting documents for leave condonation.
