General Discipline Guidelines
Important: Both, Parents and students should keep in mind the following principles of discipline.
Students are to maintain a high standard of good manners and general behavior. They should be polite and well-behaved, respect elders and teachers, and embody honesty and truthfulness. Each student represents the school as an ambassador.
The school uniform must strictly follow the pattern prescribed by the school.
Students are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both within and outside school premises. Any observed or reported objectionable behavior outside school may lead to disciplinary action.
LFPS is an English Medium school, so students are expected to converse in English on the school campus.
Students should be regular and punctual. Latecomers will be sent back, with their parents bearing responsibility.
Once a student arrives at school, leave will not be granted except in emergencies. In such cases, the child will be escorted home by the parent with the Principal’s permission and a gate pass or other parental authorization.
Habitual late attendance, repeated unjustified absence, habitual inattention to schoolwork, disobedience, use of slang, or immoral conduct are grounds for dismissal.
In case of absence, students must bring a leave note. For extended leave, prior notification should be given to the Principal.
Every student must have a School Diary, brought to school daily. Failing to bring it may result in loss of attendance for the day.
Students absent from an examination will not be re-examined.
During heavy rains or strikes, parents are responsible for deciding whether their child should attend school.
Students should take care of their personal appearance. All students must be clean and neatly dressed. Improper uniform will result in refusal of class admission.
Running, playing, or shouting inside school corridors, especially in classrooms, is not permitted. Moving between classes should be done in silence to avoid disturbing other classes.
In a teacher’s absence, students must follow the class monitor’s instructions to maintain order.
Students should address teachers and staff with respect and politeness.
Students should never sit on the teacher’s chair or desk.
Boys should have regular haircuts. Girls with hair below shoulder length should plait it with white ribbons. Short-haired girls should keep hair neatly combed and pinned.
Fancy hair clips, jewelry, and wristbands are not allowed.
Students must wear the house uniform on Wednesdays.
Students should take care of school property. Damaging furniture or defacing walls or floors is prohibited. Care must be taken to avoid harming younger students.
Personal items like books, notebooks, bags, and tiffin boxes should bear the owner’s name and class. The school is not responsible for lost items.
Students should bring necessary items like tiffin boxes, pens, pencils, and books to school. The school will not send items during working hours if parents or others bring them later.
Unauthorized books, pamphlets, media, posters, or other literature are not allowed in school.
Electronic gadgets are prohibited. Confiscated items will not be returned.
Collections for any purpose require Principal approval.
Visits to students or teachers during school hours by parents or visitors are prohibited, except with the Principal’s or Incharge’s permission in unavoidable cases.
Changes in address and phone number must be communicated to the school office.
Students should not bring money to school unless requested in the diary for school purposes.
The Principal reserves the right to take disciplinary action.
