Observation of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking – June 26, 2025
On June 26, 2025, Little Flower Public School, Kollamula solemnly observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, aligning with the global mission to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of a drug-free society.
A special morning assembly was organized to mark the occasion. The highlight of the event was the oath-taking ceremony led by officials from the local Police Department, who addressed the students on the dangers of drug abuse and the crucial role young citizens play in building a healthy, safe community.
In their inspiring message, the police officers emphasized the need to stay alert, make informed choices, and spread awareness among peers. Students and staff together pledged to stand firm against drug use and illicit trafficking, promising to uphold values of self-respect, health, and responsibility.
The programme also included speeches by students, informative presentations, and awareness messages delivered by teachers and wellness coordinators. The school campus echoed with powerful slogans like “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” and “Be Smart, Don’t Start.”
